AC asks traders to set up stalls in Sasta Bazaar

Lakki marwat – The district administration on Wednesday asked the representatives of traders’ bodies to set up stalls in Ramazan sasta bazaar and kisan market in Lakki city to enable people to get food items on subsidised rates during the fasting month. 

During a visit to the bazaar and kisan market, Assistant Commissioner Umer Bin Riaz held a meeting with members of the business community to seek their help for making the facilities fully functional in the holy month. 

Additional AC Ishaq Ali Khan, district director agriculture Abdul Qayyum Khan, district food controller Aman Khan and TMO Almar Khan were also present on the occasion. 

Umer Bin Riaz said besides establishing stalls the traders should also convince cart vendors to sell commodities on subsidised rates in both sasta bazaar and kisan market. He said the district administration would ensure availability of essential commodities in the bazar and kisan market. 

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Haseeb also paid a surprise inspection visit to sasta bazaars in Lakki and Naurang towns. Additional DC Muhammad Anwar Khan Sherani and additional AC Aminullah Khan accompanied him. 

The DC checked prices of fruits, vegetables and other food commodities. He also talked to people who had come to the bazaars to buy food items. 

Haseeb said that administration would make all-out efforts to provide maximum relief to the people during the holy month of Ramazan.

In Bannu, the administration also set up a sasta bazaar in Domel area so as to enable people to get food items on subsidised rates.
