CM aggrieved as kite string slit minor girl’s throat open

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Sunday sought a report from Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) about the death of a three-year-old girl who died after the string of a stray kite slit her throat.

The CM expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the tragic incident, extending heart-felt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family. Usman Buzdar also expressed his indignation over the incidents of kite flying in Lahore. The CM directed the police to take a stern action against kite flyers, saying that such incidents were not tolerable at all. He also directed the police to strictly enforce the law of ban on kite flying. “A strict, indiscriminate action should be taken against those who violate the law,” he ordered.
