Eight matches played on first day of Midcourt ATF C’ships

LAHORE   –   A total of eight matches were played on the inaugural day of the Midcourt ATF Championships 14&U 2021 at PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad on Monday. The winners advanced to the second round, however, the players who lost their matches will compete in the consolation matches today (Tuesday). PTF Secretary Col (R) Gul Rehman and Midcourt Founder Zaira Ahmad Zaka inaugurated the event and interacted with the players and welcomed them, especially the Nepalese players and wished them best for their matches. In the boys’ singles first round, Omar Jawad Mailk beat Eesa Fahd 6-0,6-0, Zohaib Afzal Malik beat Abdur Rehman 6-2, 6-4, Ahtesham Humayun beat Aalay Hassan 6-0, 6-0, Asad Zaman beat Ibrahim Ashraf 6-2, 6-3, Ali Zain beat Razik Sultan 6-1, 6-3, Amir Mazari beat Haziq Aasim 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 and M Abubakar beat Hammad Kashif (GBR) 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. In girls’ singles first round, Fatima Ali Raja beat Lalarukh Sajid 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. The second round matches will start today (Tuesday) at 10am.
