Police committed to protect people, provide justice:Zafar Iqbal
Bahawalpur – Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal Awan’s visited Police Lines Multan and was received by Regional Police Officer Syed Khurram Ali, CPO Munir Masood Marth.
Capt. (Retd) Zafar Iqbal Awan paid a special visit to the families of the police martyrs and listened to their problems. Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal Awan addressed in the police line.

SSP Operation Shaista Nadeem, SSP Investigation Amir Khan Niazi, Staff Officer-to-Additional IG South DSP Muhammad Rizwan Khan and other officers were present. He said that it was the duty of the police to protect the lives and property of the people and provide justice without any delay.
Adopt community policing and promote it as an effective means of combating crime, he said. Police in South Punjab arrested a large number of dangerous criminals which has reduced the crime rate, he added. He said that the focus is on the welfare of police officers and employees Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital has signed a discount package for free service for the families of martyrs, he added. Army is working for the education of children of martyrs in public schools, he said. “Police officers and constables all work with the same passion. We have all chosen the police department of our own free will. The police face one responsibility after another. The responsibility of SHOs is huge,” he said.
He said that different departments of police are working now as compared to the past. Resources have also increased considerably but thanks to resources officers are comfortable, he stated.
Addressing the court, Regional Police Officer Syed Khurram Ali said that the police are facing many challenges, there is room for improvement at all times, many serious cases have been detected and robbers have been brought to justice CPOs are using their team to the best of their ability to reduce crime, he said. A positive impression has been created among the people about the police in Multan region, he stated.
Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Capt. (Retd) Zafar Iqbal Awan listened to the problems of the service and retired police officers and employees present at the end of the court and gave orders for their solution.He also distributed cash prizes.
