Rescue training held at Gomal University

Dera ismail khan – Gomal University and Rescue 1122 jointly conducted one-day training on ‘Basic Life Support’ here on Tuesday.

University spokesman Raja Alamzeb said that students in large numbers, staff of the university’s Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, deans and representatives from the Rescue 1122 service attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, training coordinator from Rescue 1122 Aizaz Mehmood said that anyone present at any emergency situation can save lives if they use certain necessary skills on such occasions.

He said that his department was not only saving human lives but as striving to save animals and birds.

Coordinator Faculty of Allied Health Sciences Dr Fazlur Rehman Marwat said that some people tease the rescue staff by making fake calls to them, and as such they waste the time of the rescuers and also endanger the lives of those who are in a real risky situation.
