2 men murdered in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI – Two men were gunned down in separate firing incidents in different areas of district here on Wednesday, informed sources. Police have registered cases against the killers and started investigation, they said.

In the first incident, a 40-year-old man was working on his workplace Bata Chowk in Lalkurti when an unknown assailant fired at him. Resultantly, a bullet hit him on forehead and he died on the spot, sources said adding that the killer managed to escape from the scene. The incident took place in limits of Police Station Civil Lines. In the second incident, 22-year-old man namely Tariq Ullah was murdered over issue of wood cutting in Dhoke Badhal of Gujar Khan Teshil. The killer fled from the scene while Rescue 1122 shifted the body of man to hospital for autopsy. Police Station Jatli officials filed case against killer and began investigation.
