Coordination committees to help promote good governance

SIALKOT – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Organiser Senator Saifullah Khan Niazi Saturday said the establishment of dis­trict coordination committees (DCCs) at district level was aimed at promot­ing good governance in the country.

In addition, the secretariat of the DCCs would be established in the of­fice of the deputy commissioner, he added. He was addressing a meeting of the DCCs members at the DC office committee room. PTI Central Pun­jab President Senator Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry, District Chairman DCC Usman Dar, Provincial Minister for Special Education Chaudhry Akhlaq, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab on Punjab Board of Investment and Trade Ahsan Saleem Baryar, Commissioner Gujranwala Division Zulfiqar Ghuman, Regional Police Officer Gujranwala Imran Ah­mar, Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Tahir Farooq, DPO Omar Saeed Malik, PTI leader Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Brig (retd) Aslam Ghuman, Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, Ali Asjad Malhi, Saeed Ahmed Bhili, Dilawar Baig, Omar Fa­rooq Mayer, Idrees Cheema, Shahn­awaz Cheema, Azeem Noori Ghuman, Zahid Saleem Saleem Bajwa and local officials of all government depart­ments attended the meeting. Senator Saifullah Niazi said that the district administration, police as well as pub­lic representatives, party officials and ticket holders had been made part of the DCCs to provide food items to the public at a controlled rate, improve the quality of services of institutions and solve problems of citizens.
