India yet to respond to Pak decision to allow New Delhi aid to Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD – The government of India has not yet responded to the deci­sion of the government of Paki­stan which permitted transpor­tation of 50,000 tons of wheat and medicine to Afghanistan via Wagha border.

Pakistan conveyed its decision to India on 4th December during a meeting with acting Indian high commissioner to Pakistan at the foreign office.

According to a source, Paki­stan has sent a reminder to India for conveying early response on the decision of Pakistan.

The Pakistani cabinet earli­er approved the decision on hu­manitarian grounds for brother­ly people of Afghanistan.

The transportation of fifty thousand metric tons of wheat was allowed to be transport­ed by Afghan trucks from the Wagha border between Pakistan and India to Afghanistan via the Torkham border.
