Punjab reports 155 new Covid-19 cases

LAHORE – Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch Friday said that during the last 24 hours, 155 new cases of coronavirus were reported across the province.

In a press statement here, he explained that 132 positive cases were reported in Lahore, 10 in Rawalpindi, five in Multan, two in Faisalabad, and one each in Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Sargodha and Sheikhupura.

The secretary said: “So far, the number of cases has reached 445,027 and 429,091 patients have fully recovered in the province. The number of active cases is 2,873 to date,” he added. He said that 18,013 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, adding that a total of 8.90 million tests were conducted altogether.

Baloch said that the overall rate of Covid-19 incidence in the last 24 hours was recorded as 1 per cent in the province, adding that Lahore had 3 per cent, Rawalpindi 0.9 per cent, and Multan had 1 per cent Covid-19 incidence rate.
