Strict SOPs implemented in Balochistan to curb COVID

QUETTA   –  A surge in the coronavirus cases in Balochistan forced the provincial government to impose strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in which it was decided that indoor events will have a limit of 300 guests and outdoor events will not have more than 500 guests.

In the advisory passed by the provincial government, only 70 percent people will be allowed to sit in public transport. The Balochistan government has taken these strict measures to tackle the sudden hike in the coronavirus cases that has taken over the whole country.

43 more tested positive for coronavirus in Balochistan

About 43 new coronavirus patient were tested positive in Balochistan while a number of total confirmed patients surged to 33,855 in the province on Friday.  According to media coordinator, provincial Health Directorate Cell Balochistan, Dr Muhammad Wasim Baig, at least 1,354,053 people were screened for the virus till January 21 out of which 43 more were reported positive. As many as 33,289 affected patients have been recovered from the coronavirus so far while 367 deaths were recorded due to the deadly virus in Balochistan.
