Steps afoot for welfare of minorities: AC

KHANEWAL – As per vision of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, practical steps are being taken for welfare of the minority community. Cheque Distribution Ceremony was held under the auspices of Assistant Commissioner Jahanian Amna Ehsan Tarar.

Special Guest Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs Mahendra Singh Pal and MPA Shahida Ahmed Hayat distributed cheques of 5 lac among 50 needy families of minority community of Tehsil Jahanian. Assistant Commissioner Jahanian Amna Ehsan Tarar, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Mahendra Singh Pal, addressing the media on the occasion, said that minority community was the crown of any society. The status given to minorities in Pakistan under the present regime was unprecedented in the past. In addition to increasing aid grants for the minority community, development funds have also been increased, they added. 

Attempts have been made to uplift people’s standard of living. MPA Shahida Ahmad Hayat in her address said that Punjab government will continue to take steps for welfare of the minority community.
