Pakistan reports 41 new deaths, 3,206 new cases

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan lost 41 more lives while 3,206 more people tested positive to Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, according to the NCOC.

Latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Centre’s show that 3,206 people tested positive for the deadly virus and 41 people have lost their lives on Saturday. The NCOC stated that 55,304 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, of which 3,206 returned positive. The rate of positive cases during the last 24 hours was 5.79 percent.

Pakistan has so far conducted 25,751,321 coronavirus tests and 55,304 in the last 24 hours. As many as 1,375,628 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,623 patients are in critical condition. With 41 more deaths during the last 24 hours, the NCOC stated that overall number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country has risen to 29,772. Total number of overall positive cases has reached 1,483,798, after 3,206 more people tested positive.

According to the province-wise coronavirus update release by the NCOC, Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The NCOC stated that the overall death toll across the country surged to 29,772 out of which13,355 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab.
