Turkish delegation visits Data Ganj Bakhsh shrine

LAHORE – Dr Ali Arbas, President of the Presidential Religious Affairs of the Turkish Government, accompanied by a delegation visited the shrine of Ali Hajveri (RA) commonly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh here on Saturday.

The delegation laid a floral wreath at the grave, and Mufti Ramzan Sialvi offered Fateha. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri and Punjab Minister for Auqaf Syed Saeedul Hassan welcomed the delegation with bouquets of flowers. Punjab Auqaf Secretary Jawad Akram and other dignitaries and government officials were also present. Special gifts and souvenirs were presented to all the guests.

Dr Ali Arbas said that his visit to Pakistan would strengthen relations between the two countries. “Islamic world is in dire need of unity and solidarity,” Dr Arbas said and appreciated the role of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Imran Khan in that regard. He said that at present the Islamic world must be protected from violent and extremist attitudes. Dr Ali Arbas and his team thanked the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Punjab for the reception given to them in Pakistan.
