RAWALPINDI - A total of 6,641,232 people including 44,710 front line health workers have been injected with the Covid-19 vaccine by health authorities in the Rawalpindi district so far, said Rawalpindi Division Commissioner, Noor Ul Amin Mengal during a meeting held to review the arrangements being made by the district government on Monday. He further informed that 1,333 people died of Covid-19 in the division so far whereas 42,982 were brought to hospitals after being detected with the virus. Doctors discharged 41,599 patients after providing them with medical treatment, he informed. “Out of 50 active cases of Covid-19 reported in the division, 49 have been isolated in their homes,” said the commissioner. Four new cases have been reported during the last 24 hours.
The areas from where patients were brought to hospitals included Cantt, Taxila, Rawal and Potohar Town.
No causality was reported so far in the district, he said.
