Opposition puts national interest at stake for personal gains: CM Buzdar

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar met with provincial ministers, PML-N MPA Ashraf Ansari and elected representatives at his office on Wednesday.   Matters pertaining to mutual interest and political situation came under discussion. Talking on this occasion, he said that he never allowed personal interest to prevail upon national interest adding that the opposition had put the national interests at stake. He categorically remarked that no conspiracy against the PTI government would succeed as it had only served the masses in its three and a half years tenure. Usman Buzdar said: “We stand by our leader PM Imran Khan and will continue to remain so.”

Those who met with the CM included Hamid Yar Hiraj, Khayal Ahmed Kastro, Sami Ullah Chaudhry, Rana Shahbaz Ahmed, Ghazeen Abbasi, Syed Raza Bukhari, Mahinder Pal Singh, Sardar Ahmed Ali Dreshak and others. Chief Whip Punjab Assembly / MPA Syed Abbas Ali Shah, Younas Ansari, Tahir Bashir Cheema, Raza Dreshak were also present on this occasion.

Also, different parliamentarians namely Sardar Asif Nikai, Ashfa Riaz, Akhtar Hayat, Saleem Sarwar Jora, Liaquat Ali, Amir Nawaz Chandia, Gulraiz Afzal, Ejaz Bandesha and ticket-holder Ahmed Chatha called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and discussed the political situation. The CM vowed to support Prime Minister Imran Khan till his last breath and asserted that he toiled away to fulfil the party’s manifesto. “I have dedicated my life to the party and public service as public offices are a trust of the people.

I would continue to side with the Prime Minister as public-centric politics was like worship to me,” he observed.  Usman Buzdar regretted that the negative politics of the opposition was harming the country and added that the nation would never forgive those who created political turmoil. He said PM Imran Khan was the only ray of hope and the nation firmly stood with him. “220 million people know who the robber is and who is the leader. Imran Khan has given a strong message of self-respect to the nation and taught it to live with honour and dignity,” he said and concluded that the truth always prevailed in the battle between truth and falsehood.

CM pays tributes to Pak Army martyrs, sepoys

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has paid rich tributes to the great sacrifice of six Pakistan Army martyred officers and sepoys who were performing their duties in a UN Congo Mission and embraced martyrdom in a helicopter accident. CM expressed his heartfelt sympathy and sorrow with the heirs of the martyrs and stated that he was deeply grieved over the martyrdom of officers and sepoys in a helicopter accident. He said that the officers and sepoys of Pakistan Army Aviation Unit by laying down their precious lives had set a high example of their being dutiful. CM praised that the whole nation was proud of their officers and sepoys to embrace martyrdom while performing their duties in Congo.
