ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party Wednesday alleged that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi fabricated the ‘threatening letter’ to Prime Minister Imran Khan to pressurise him.
“Shah Mahmood Qureshi personally wrote threatening letter to Imran Khan through a Foreign Office diplomat,” PPP leader Ali Musa Gilani said.
He said a Pakistani ambassador was used to write this letter at the request of FM Qureshi and then send to the FM. “After receiving a fabricated letter from the diplomat, Shah Mahmood Qureshi delivered the letter to Imran Khan. Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the Foreign Office are the main characters in this forgery,” Gilani said, commenting on the mysterious letter claimed by PM Khan, he claims contains the evidence of international conspiracy against him amid the no-confidence motion.
He added: “Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Foreign Office are badly caught in letter gate scandal.
We will not allow Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Foreign Office characters involved to get out of this letter gate scandal.” Meanwhile, PPP leader Shazia Atta Marri said Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has lost his consciousness while “seeing his sinking political career” and added that the government of Imran Khan was “sucking the blood of poor people by unprecedented inflation, unemployment and worst economic policies for three and a half years.”
