IGP Islamabad emphasises upon quick justice

ISLAMABAD- Inspector General Police (IGP) of Islamabad, Muhammad Ahsan Younas held open court in Central police office on Wednesday to address grievances of public as well as those of retired and serving officials. The IGP said that the police are committed to resolve public grievances on priority basis and protect the lives and property of the citizens in the capital.

While strictly directing all zonal officers to address public complaints purely on merit, he said “No laxity would be tolerated in [this] regard.”

He marked the applications to the concerned officers for timely action on merit. He also instructed the officers to send reports to his office in the decided time-frame.  Younas reiterated that Islamabad police will leave no stone unturned to protect the lives and property of citizens, adding that Islamabad police is taking measures to facilitate public.  The IGP directed police officers and put emphasis on adopting courteous attitude with the complainants visiting police stations and to carry out their responsibilities in the most professional manner.
