Lahore - Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi Monday approached the sessions court against the police’s refusal to register a case over torture of him during a brawl on the assembly premises.

The Punjab Assembly speaker filed an appeal in the sessions court against an MPA of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and 200 other unidentified people over torture of him. The appeal also stated that the victim filed a complaint in the police station concerned, but the police did not take any action.
