ECP holds workshops to educate youth about election process

Islamabad - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has conducted a series of workshops across the country to educate the youth about the election process.

According to a press statement shared by ECP spokesman, the ECP held workshops on ‘Voter Education’ and ‘Student Awareness’ in different universities, colleges and schools of the four provinces from November 2021.

The ECP successfully held approximately 264 students workshops in 5 months in which a large of male, female students participated. A total of 98 workshops have been conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 68 in Sindh, 44 in Balochistan and 3 in Islamabad.

“The aim of workshops was to create awareness especially among the youth about voting and the electoral process and also to improve voter turnout in forthcoming elections,” said the statement. Students across Pakistan will hold awareness campaigns voluntarily and ECP will award them with certificates for their services.
