ISLAMABAD - Exchange rate of Pak rupee weakened by Rs 1.04 against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs186.96 against the previous day’s closing of Rs185.92. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs187 and Rs189 respectively. The price of Euro also appreciated by Rs 2.96 and closed at Rs 204.07 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 201.11. The Japanese Yen gained 02 paisas to close at Rs 1.46, whereas an increase of Rs 2.42 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 244.39 as compared to its last closing of Rs 241.97. The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 29 paisas to close at Rs 50.90 and Rs 49.85 respectively.
