International wrestler Sher Khan honored

LAHORE   –   Baldia Korangi honored international wrestler and brave son of Lyari Sher Khan in a ceremony held at Shah Faisal Colony, Karachi the other day. Special guest Haji Ghulam Mohammad Khan, Sports Coordinator Commissioner Karachi, while addressing the function, said: “After Eid-ul-Fitr, a function will be organized by Commissioner Karachi in honor of wrestler Sher Khan, who recently won the Asian Championship in Nepal, where he will be awarded special prizes by Commissioner Karachi on behalf of people of Karachi.” Deputy Director Information Baldia Korangi Mohammad Arshad, prominent political and social leader Mohammad Saleem Khamisani, Secretary Pakistan Yoga Sports Federation Khalid Brohi, Finance Secretary Karachi Shooting Ball Association Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, National Footballer Usman Ghani, Azam Sports Zone 4 Captain Mohammad Hanif Khan, Mubeen Alam Nizami, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Tanveer, Mohammad Zubair, Mohammad Nadeem and others were also present on the occasion. He said: “There is talent in all fields of sports in Karachi. This has been proved by Sher Khan by winning the Asian Championship held in Nepal.” He assured that the commissioner’s office would continue its efforts to promote sports in the city and keep the youth away from negative activities.” In the end, Muhammad Arshad and Mubeen Alam Nizami presented cash award to wrestler Sher Khan on behalf of Baldia Korangi.
