LAHORE - Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi and former federal minister Moonis Elahi Sunday condemned the registration of an FIR against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and termed it an obnoxious act of a fascist regime.
“Sharif brothers did not learn any lesson from history, nor did they stop their actions,” they said in a statement. Ch Parvez Elahi questioned what Imran Khan had to do with the incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi. “The entire nation knows that on the night of this tragic incident, Imran Khan and his workers were engaged in Shab-e-Dua.” He further stated that the registration of a case against Imran Khan and his associates on the pretext of Masjid-e-Nabawi incident was reprehensible. Moonis Elahi said Imran Khan had made it clear that he had nothing to do with the Masjid-e-Nabawi incident and he could not even imagine giving such instructions.
