PTI supports abusive language: CM

BAHAWALPUR - Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that PML-N government was committed to serve the nation as good deeds will always be remembered in the annals of history.

Talking to newsmen in Bahawalpur, he regretted that the country’s biggest province remained without its chief minister for more than three weeks due to unconstitutional act of PTI leaders. He said that the sense of deprivation among the people of South Punjab grew stronger during the tenure of PTI government.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that youth had been unemployed after showing a dream of 10 million jobs while the country was pushed into economic crisis by the previous government of PTI.

He strongly condemned use of abusive language by the leaders and workers of PTI in Masjid-e-Nabawi during the visit of the prime minister and termed it against the sanctity of holy places.

He announced restoration of Speedo Bus Service in Bahawalpur which had been closed by the previous government of PTI. Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz on Sunday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) had fascist system by supporting abusing language culture.  Earlier, he arrived in Bahawalpur on official tour and was accorded warm welcome by Federal Minister for Food Security Chaudhary Tariq Bashir Cheema, Federal Minister Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, ex-federal minister Balighur Rehman, senior administrative officials and local leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N. He said that it was PTI that adopted a fascist system and promoted use of abusive language even against women. He said “It is PTI that used abusing and Bazaari language at the holy land of Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH) even at the nights of Laila-Tul-Qadr”. He added that PTI did not respect women even mothers and daughters.  The chief minister said that he was thankful to his leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who assigned him task of assuming office of Punjab Chief Minister to serve people. He said that earlier he, as Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly, paid four visits to South Punjab while as chief minister it was his first ever visit to Bahawalpur. He said that PTI gave slogan of making South Punjab a province but failed even in making South Punjab Secretariat properly. He said that PTI did not give development projects to Bahawalpur and South Punjab. “No road was built like that of Bahawalpur-Hasilpur Road and Lodhran-Khanewal Road which were built by PML-N regime.

“PTI government gave false and fake slogans to people,” he said, adding, ex-prime minister Imran Khan could not prove his allegations of corruption which he levelled against PML-N leadership. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif paid a surprise visit to Civil Hospital Bahawalpur. CM Hamza Shehbaz expressed frustration over inadequate medical facilities in the hospital.  Talking to father of a girl patient, who was not satisfied with the treatment of his daughter, CM Hamza Shehbaz said, “I am with you and will do everything in our power to treat the girl. The chief minister directed the principal of Quaid-e-Azam Medical College to form a board of doctors immediately. Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz said he will talk to girl’s father himself at 8 pm.

He said the girl was being shifted to ICU of Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur. He said that wanted to save the life of the girl. The CM reprimanded authorities concerned for the poor hygienic conditions at the hospital and malfunctioning of some equipment. “Sanitation arrangements should be improved and new beds should be provided in the hospitals immediately. Such cases will not be allowed in the hospitals and facilities should be improved. I will come back to the hospital to check itscondition,” he said.
