Bait-ul-Mal MD Zaheer Khokhar resigns
ISLAMABAD (Fawad Yousafzai): Managing Director Bait-ul-Mal, Zaheer Abbas Khokhar, Friday resigned from the post prior to the completion of his removal process by the federal government. Zaheer Abbas announced his resignation at a farewell press conference here. Zaheer Khokhar said that he left the charge of MD Bait-ul-Mal because he cannot work under Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. However, sources told The Nation that on Tuesday the Federal Cabinet through a circulation had approved the de-notification of MD Bait-ul-Mal Zaheer Abbas Khokhar. A summary for his removal was moved by the Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Division. However, a notification for his removal was yet to be issued to complete the process.
