Cops to don body cams at e-police posts

LAHORE    –   Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations Wing) Mustansir Feroze has said that Lahore police have decided to install Body Worn Cameras at E-Police check posts on the entry and exit points of the provincial metropolis for the convenience of the people.

He said this initiative of Lahore police will not only ensure law and order in the city but also prevent the incidents of misconduct between citizens and the police officials.

He said Body Worn Cameras will also record the conversation between police personnel and the citizens.

SSP Operations Mustansir Feroze said this step will also help identify the criminals and curb crimes. He further maintains this step will also restore the public’s confidence in the police department and the citizens will be able to get their complaints registered on 1787. He said senior Police officers will monitor this initiative and issue on-the-spot instructions for resolving public grievances.
