ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party yesterday urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers to return to the National Assembly if they had decided not to quit. Addressing a press conference along with PPP leaders Faisal Karim Kundi and Chaudhry Manzoor Hussain in Islamabad on Wednesday, senior PPP leader and Federal Minister for Water Resources, Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah said that PTI chief Imran Khan's statements of breaking up the country should be decided in accordance with the Constitution and law.
“PTI members should return to the assembly. We want to take the agricultural industry to the extent that agricultural products can be exported instead of being imported,” he said. The PPP leader said Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC) project was starting from December which will be completed in three years. He said that 16 million bales of cotton were produced while 7 million bales of cotton were received at present.
Shah said that Imran Khan came through a target and a plan to divide the nation. “He talked about Pakistan being divided into three parts. If we talk about his statements, we would not know what would happen,” he added.
“Matters can be resolved through mutual understanding. Even today, we invite PTI to come to the assembly. They are still members of the assembly, and the speaker called them to the house. Now see what they decide,” Shah maintained.

On the occasion, Faisal Karim Kundi said that Imran Khan’s only goal is to get the post of prime minister. “On the one hand, PTI claims to have resigned from assembly, and on the other hand, they are using government vehicles and residences,” he added. He thanked the prime minister, PPP leadership and Federal Minister Khursheed Shah for their efforts in solving the water problem of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Kundi claimed that the KP government was involved in the forest fire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so that the corruption in the Billion Tree Tsunami project can be hidden.
