Stock market loses 67 points

ISLAMABAD - The KSE 100-index of the PSX on Wednesday lost 67.81 points, a slight negative change of 0.16 percent, closing at 42,458.14 points against 42,525.95 points on the last working day. A total of 266,090,670 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 300,592,921 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 8.468 billion against Rs 9.471 billion on last trading day. As many as 336 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 133 of them recorded gain and 176 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 27 companies remained unchanged. The three top trading companies were Pak Refinery with a volume of 23,874,098 shares and price per share of Rs 18.98, TPL Properties with volume of 23,154,358 and price per share of Rs 21.97 and Cnergyico Pk with volume of 16,793,997 and price per share of Rs 5.56. Pak Tobacco witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 56.98 per share, closing at Rs 955.98 whereas the runner up Nestle Pakistan, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs 20.08 to Rs 5,900.08.

Colgate Palm witnessed maximum decrease of Rs106.67 per share closing at Rs 2,118.33 followed by Sapphire Fiber, the share price of which declined by Rs 88.90 to close at Rs 1,110.10.
