Rawalpindi-Additional Commissioner (Coordination) Rawalpindi Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa has taken charge of the Director General of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on additional basis on Saturday.
The DG RDA Capt (retd) Tahir Zafar Abbasi has left for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and additional charge has been handed over to Additional Commissioner (Coordination) Rawalpindi.
The Director Admin and Finance RDA Asif Mehmood Janjua and other officers welcomed the newly appointed DG RDA.
As soon as the DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa took charge, he directed the RDA officers and staff to reach the office on time and directed to work better.
On the direction of the Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority, a seminar was organized in RDA today in connection with anti-dengue campaign, whereas, a walk was also organized and pamphlets on dengue awareness and prevention was also distributed on Murree Road Rawalpindi.
The Director Admin and Finance RDA Asif Mehmood Janjua has directed RDA anti-dengue team to visit the homes of the people and request them not to allow water accumulate in their premises so as to prevent dengue.
He added that the authorities have directed to take legal action against people leaving stagnant water in their homes and violate the restrictions whereas an FIR will also be lodged.
He appreciated the work of RDA Anti-Dengue Team and hoped to continue these efforts in future. He also said that with regard to Eid-ul-Adha, the people are requested not to allow water to stagnate even during these days so that dengue could be prevented.
