Apologies on ZAB

Taking cue from Hamid Mir, who in his Capital Talk wondered if the Parliament could be moved to make Musharraf apologise for calling ZAB a 'Fascist' in his book "In Line of Fire', the SCBA President Aitzaz Ahsan - never letting go of such a chance against Musharraf - has jumped upon the opportunity and called upon the PPP to ask the President to tender this apology. What a demand? The man has been further quoted by the press to say in the same breath, "We will manage get an apology from Justice Iftikhar for taking the earlier oath under the PCO". As if the ex-CJP is just a pantomimic puppet dancing to his tunes and would obey all his commands Anyway, just to apprise Aitzaz of the chance of another apology, Ayub Khan has also used similar, even worse words for ZAB in his recently published "Diaries of Field Marshal Mohammad Ayub Khan". -COL (Retd) RIAZ JAFRI, Rawalpindi, via e-mail, April 8.
