NAGARPARKAR, SINDH (PPI) - Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has categorically stated that he would not apologise to the Supreme Court in contempt of court case. Addressing a big public meeting organised the other day to on his first visit to his constituency after assuming the portfolio of information minister, he said, I am prepared to face whatever the court decides but will never compromise on principles. The Minister further stated that target killers were not human beings and would be hanged for their barbaric acts. He lauded Dr Zulfiqar Mirzas efforts in nabbing target killers. Commenting on medias role in pinpointing President Asif Ali Zardari and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in NRO issue, Memon questioned why the two are being highlighted and not others in matters relating the NRO. He said the court served him a contempt notice on merely uttering a word. Accusing PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif of stopping the Thar Coal Project, the minister said the Sharif did not want the region to prosper, and added that President Zardari has given special attention to the project which would solve countrys power problems for 200 years. On the demand for levying tax on agricultural sector, he said the move would actually lead to more inflation. Commenting on the ongoing house-count, he urged the public to remain alert in this regard and play their due role. He also announced to give Rs 0.5 million to Nagarparkar Press Club. Throwing light on governments achievements, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro on this occasion said provincial autonomy, NFC Award, employment and training youth to face the challenges ahead are credible. He said the PPP government would complete its tenure. Sindh Minister for Revenue Jam Mehtab Daher, Sindh Excise Minster Mukesh Chawla and others were also present on the occasion.
