ISLAMABAD - In an exclusive interview with The Nation here said that he took action on The Nation's story about the continued apathy of the authorities concerned towards the Pakistan's first gold medallist, Din Muhammad, who is presently in his late 80s, as none of the sports champions had fulfilled even a single promise made with him. It is worth mentioning here that Din Muhammad was the first wrestler of the country who had won the gold medal in 1954 Asian Games held at Manila, Philippines. The minister has ordered an immediate action in this matter and assured the best possible help he can extend to Din Muhammad. Shaukt Ullah further promised to talk to the Prime Minister to set up a fund for the sportsmen of the country. "It will be a great honour for me if I can help the heroes of the country who gave everything to bring laurels to the country and hoisted the Green Flag across the world," he concluded.
