OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Sports Journalist Association Lahore (SJAL) defeated Sports Writers Association Punjab (SWAP) by three wickets in a friendly fixture played here at Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) ground on Wednesday. SWAP team, after winning the toss, decided to bat first. They piled up a total of 169 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Openers were off to good start as Faraz Haider made 36 runs. Captain of SWAP team Musa Bilal played captained innings and made 40 runs while the other main contributors were Javed (20), Farrukh Butt (18) and Imran (10). Ijaz Bakhri and Aftab Tabi shared one wicket each for SJAL while Shakeel Khan also bowled well. In reply, SJAL XI achieved their target for the loss of seven wickets with the help of superb knocks of Zahid Shafi, Aftab Tabi, Ijaz Bakhri, Adnan Rashid, Azhar Masood and Sana Ullah. Farrukh Butt, Musa Bilal and Faraz Haider bowled well for the losers. On the occasion, SWAP President Shahid Sheikh, SJAL President Amir Raza Khan, senior journalists Syed Ali Hashmi, Rafiq Khan, Fawad Asghar, Ashraf Ch, Afzaal Ch, Ijaz Sheikh and others were also present.
