LAHORE - Superior University Lahore cyclists dazzled on the opening day of the Pakistan Inter-varsity Championship by winning all the four events here on Friday at cycling velodrome.
Superior University riders dominated with speed and technique to outshine opponents from 14 other participating universities.
They won the 50 kilometre team time trial with timings of 1h.30m.15s as University of Lahore took the second place and University of Central Punjab (UCP) got third.
Superior University cyclists won the four-kilometre team pursuit by covering the distance in 5m57s. University of Lahore and UCP claimed the second and third place respectively. In 4-kilometre individual pursuit, Superior University's Abdul Rehman clocked 5m42s while Qurban Ali of University of Lahore got the second place and Ali Hassan from Punjab University earned third position. Superior University ended the day by winning the 1-kilometre team sprint with a timing of 1m19s. University of Lahore and UCP bagged the second and third position. Punjab Olympic Association secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja inaugurated the event.
