KARACHI – The Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday demanded the government to immediately withdraw its decision to drop the Nato supplies suspension.

Addressing a protest rally in Quaidabad, JI’s Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti called on the government to retract its decision to restore the NATO supply route. He warned that the Pakistani nation would bitterly resist if the suspension was dropped. Participants of the rally were holding placards inscribed with writings against the United States and NATO forces. Mehanti termed the government’s decision a doctrine of slavery, saying the elected representatives had traded the nation’s pride and self-esteem. He asked the government to immediately pull out of the war against terror.
