PESHAWAR - The activists of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Samiul Haq (JUI-S) Friday held a protest demonstration against expected restoration of Nato supply through Pakistan for allied forces stationed in Afghanistan.

The protestors warned of strongly resisting if the incumbent rulers tried to restore the halted Nato supply via Pakistan against the aspirations of the masses. The protestors led by JUI-S provincial ameer Maulana Yousaf Shah and other leaders were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the US-led Nato forces, drone attacks inside tribal areas, and also against the Pakistani rulers for supporting the US.

The protest demonstration was held on the call of its party chief and Chairman Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) Maulana Samiul Haq here at Qissan Khwani Bazaar. Addressing the protestors, JUI Ameer Maulana Yousaf Shah strongly condemned the government for expected restoration of supply route and said that it would be against the aspirations of the entire nation. He added that the restoration of Nato supply would further strengthen the US and its allies stationed in Afghanistan, which was against the security of Pakistan.

“The passage of a resolution for Nato supply from parliament would hurt the feelings of millions of countrymen,” he remarked. Besides, Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat district ameer Maulana Ismail, Muhammad Zubair Anjum of Jamiat ideological, Maulana Mairajud Din, Mufti Zafar, Ayub Shah and Maulana Haseeb also addressed the protest gathering. The real faces of the members of the parliament revealed on the nation, for accepting and signing the slavery of the nation with the hands of the US, they alleged, adding nation will never let them pardon and will soon impeach them.

Maulana Yousaf Shah also strongly criticised the JUI-F and PML-N for signing the resolution and disappointed the nation with their selfish decision. He also claimed that DPC was the only force that played a role of real opposition in the country.

Meanwhile, People’s Youth Organisation (PYO), district Peshawar chapter, Friday held a protest demonstration against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar for ignoring the party workers at outside press club.

The protestors also announced to launch a protest campaign against the governor and demanded of the party central leadership to replace him with a loyal and dedicated person.

The protestors led by PYO district chapter president Jehangir Khan, Esa Khan, Zahid Shah and Malik Imtiaz were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masud Kausar, also raised full-throated slogans against the governor.

Addressing the protestors PYO leaders lamented that the incumbent PPP governor has closed the doors of governor house on the party loyal workers. “We were celebrated the appointment of Kausar as governor with a lot of expectations to resolve the problems facing the workers, but he did not pay any attention towards the miseries of the workers, he said.

He was also accused of bestowing his nears and dears, but has turned deaf years towards PPP assets.

In the protest movement, he said they would also set-up a hunger strike camp in Peshawar, while a sit-in in front of president House in Islamabad and would also hold a protest in Garhi Khuda Bux. The PPP disgruntled workers threatened to keep continue their protest till the removal of Governor Kausar, so that miseries of the party workers could be mitigated.
