ISLAMABAD – Saddened by the plane tragedy on Friday, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have ordered probe into the crash.Expressing heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families, President Zardari directed the authorities concerned to step up rescue and relief operation. He issued directives to establish information desks at Karachi and Islamabad airports to facilitate the affected families. He directed the authorities to probe the crash and submit its report to the presidency.PM Gilani ordered the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to gear up all its resources for rescue operation. An inquiry has also been ordered under Group Captain Mujahidul Islam, head of Safety Investigation Board, CAA. Two operation rooms have also been set up at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed International Airport and Jinnah International Airport Karachi.The authorities concerned have been directed to make special arrangements to airlift the bereaved families from Karachi to Islamabad. The government will provide lodging and boarding facilities.
