MARDAN - PML-N candidate for NA-9 Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti on Saturday said that he would file 78 documents of corruption against former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and his father Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Hoti in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after the general elections.
“Currently, the whole bureaucracy is appointed by the ex-CM, therefore, no one will take action against them, therefore, the corruption documents against the duo will be filed after the general elections,” he said this while speaking at a press conference at the Mardan Press Club on Saturday.
He alleged that all the development projects executed by the ex-CM in the districts were aimed at taking commission. “No project, he (ex-CM) has executed for the welfare of people but only for corruption and extracting commission,” he added.
He claimed that ANP PK-23 President Shah Nawaz Khan and General Secretary Latif ur Rehman used to play the role of front men for Ameer Haider Khan Hoti to take commission while Javed Yousafzai for his father Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Hoti in the last five years.
He said that Haider Hoti and Azam Hoti received threats from Taliban while his supporters received threats from Haider Hoti and Azam Hoti. He criticised the role of caretaker government and Election Commission and said that he several times demanded the reshuffle of Mardan administration but now one has taken any action in this connection yet. Khwaja Hoti said that he had also informed the Election Commission through several letters regarding the pre-poll rigging and demanded reshuffling in bureaucracy but in vain.
He alleged that in the last three days Mardan Medical Complex (MMC), Execute Officer Dr Qayam Shah allegedly appointed 50 people of Haider Hoti and violated the code of conduct of the Election Commission.
He said that General Manager of Sui Gas Department Haroon Khan was also supporting Haider Hoti in his election campaign. He said that Assistant Election Commissioner Mardan Javed Khan was also become partial and high-ups in Mardan were appointed by Haider Khan Hoti. “In this situation, how can a person imagine that free and fair elections will be held in the district,” he added.
