Haj balloting for Sindh Bank employees

KARACHI (PR): Hajj balloting for Sindh Bank employees was held at bank’s head Office. According to balloting, four principal and four alternate employees were declared successful. Principal employees are Sheraz Ahmed Meer (OG-I), Nazia Gul (OG-II), Fahad Ali Balouch (OG-III) & Rashid Subhani (outsourced). Alternate employees are: Zahoor Ahmed, OG-I, Syed Gunj Bux Jahania (OG-II), Wali Muhammad (OG-III) & Nawaz Khan (outsourced).

Soneri Bank announces first quarter results

KARACHI (PR): Soneri Bank Limited has posted a profit before tax of Rs.822.31 million and profit after tax of Rs.539.21 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2016. The board, in its 149thmeeting held on Wednesday, approved the bank’s first quaterly un-audited financial statements. Deposits grew by 5.61 percent during the period closing at Rs.195.62 billion (December 2015: Rs.185.22 billion). Net advances are almost at 2015 year end position standing at Rs.112.76 billion (December 2015: Rs.112.00 billion). The bank’s net assets (including surplus) amounts to Rs.17.60 billion as at 31st March.

PSO refutes allegations by APCNGA

KARACHI (PR): Apropos a news items published on April 19 by a section of media pertaining to remarks from All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA), Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has categorically refuted the false statements and maintained that such mala fide actions are aimed at damaging the reputation of a responsible national institution like PSO. The fact of the matter is that the chairman of APNCGA has twisted the facts and there is no veracity in the news that PSO is demanding illegal payments from CNG operators.

PSO statement added that PSO always believes in fair and ethical business practices and PSO has always extended maximum facilitation to the CNG operators despite facing a financial crunch.

Pacra assigns ‘positive outlook’ to ratings of ‘APNA’

LAHORE (PR): The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) has assigned ‘positive outlook’ to the long term and short term entity ratings of BBB+ (Triple B Plus) and ‘A3’ (A Three), respectively, of APNA Microfinance Bank Limited (APNA Bank). These ratings denote a low expectation of credit risk emanating from adequate capacity for timely payment of financial commitments. APNA Microfinance Bank is the associated concern of The United Insurance Company of Pakistan Limited being successfully driven by UIG Group Chairman Mian M.A Shahid under the umbrella of UIG Group of Companies.

‘Power to the cloud’
