Sindh Governor for setting up passport office in Thatta

THATTA   -  A high level meeting was held at Thatta Circuit House under the chairmanship of Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by local leaders including Member Provincial Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh and officials.

During the meeting, HESCO and Sui Southern officials briefed the governor. NADRA officials also briefed the governor about the centres set up for identity cards in Thatta district. The governor directed the officials of HESCO to immediately resolve the issue of load shedding and power transmission system. 

He said that they were contacting the Home Ministry for setting up a passport office in collaboration with NADRA in Thatta. He also instructed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Thatta to solve the problems of the people. The governor also directed DC Thatta to monitor the process of distribution of funds at Ehsaas Kafalat Centre. He said that it was the responsibility of the police officers to provide justice to every person. The governor directed the police officers to focus on improving the policing system in the district. 

Later, Ismail also visited Ehsaas Kafalat Centre Thatta. He reviewed the process of distribution of funds and also inquired about the problems of the women who came to the Ehsaas Kafalat Centre. The governor directed the officials of Ehsaas Programme to improve the process of distribution of funds.

‘Malir development projects included in Karachi Package’

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Tuesday said that the development projects of Malir were included in the Karachi Package. 

He stated this while talking to media after condoling with PTI leader belonging to Malir Dr Masroor Siyal over the death of his uncle at his residence in Malir. Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Shaikh and other PTI leaders were also present on the occasion. The governor said that he would present the report of his visit to Thatta to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

Speaking on the visit of PM to Sindh, he said that the PM would also visit other parts of the province during his next visit. He said that the province was still backward and they could not leave the people of the province in this condition.

Replying to a question, he said, ‘We are the servants of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) and the respect of the Holy Prophet is above all.’
