On his arrival at the Ministry of Interior, Secretary Interior Yousaf Naseem Khokhar and other senior officers of the ministry welcomed him.
A day earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had chosen Rana Sanaullah as member of his “coalition cabinet” by appointing him as 46th minister for interior of the country.
Rana Sanaullah is the central leader of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and is an elected member of National Assembly from NA-106 (Faisalabad). Before this, he was elected as member of Punjab Assembly from his home town Faisalabad for five times. At present, the Interior Minister is the provincial president of PML-N.
Before this, Rana Sanaullah remained provincial law and home minister during PML-N government in Punjab from 2013 to 2018.
