RAWALPINDI - All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association (APOTOA) would halt the supply of petroleum products across the country including defence instalments as a token protest against the fake and cruel policies of Pakistan State Oil and Attock Refinery Limited (ARL). APOTOA Chairman Mir Muhammad Yousaf Shahwani during a press conference here stated this on Wednesday. He said the decision of closing down the oil depots by PSO in various parts of the country would be the economic murder of tankers' owners and contractors. He demanded a raise in the freight charges. He requested Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and the high-ups of Petroleum Ministry to intervene into the matter and remove all ambiguities. He told the journalists that a convention of APOTOA would be held at Multan on Thursday (today) to evolve the future strategy. A large number of members and office bearers of APOTOA were also present on this occasion. They staged a protest demonstration and chanted slogans against the PSO officials.
