Rs. 12 billion is required for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), said Senior Minister GB Muhammad Jaffar and Minister for Local Government and Development Muhammad Ismail. Addressing to press conference here in Skardu, they said that flood has damaged the whole infrastructure of GB. We have lost not only precious lives but also property. The newly formed government of GB is not in this position to handle such a huge devastation. They expressed grief and sorrow over the sorry situation of the country including GB. They said till now no one has come to provide aid to us. The NHA is responsible for delay in the reconstruction of the Shahrah-e- Karakoram, they said that there is 0 per cent performance of the NHA. They demanded for the immediate repairing of Karakoram Highway.
