Pak boxers to feature in Combat Games

LAHORE Top five Pakistani boxers will feature in the Sports Accord Combat Games to be held in Beijing, China, from August 28 to September 4. According to spokesman of Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF), the International Boxing Association (AIBA) invited five Pakistani boxers who have place in AIBA world ranking and they have sent us their names and now AIBA will bears all their expensive. We are glad our boxers are placed in the world ranking and now they will be taking part in combat games and this would be most beneficial for our boxers ahead of the Commonwealth and Asian Games, PBF general secretary Mohammad Akram Khan said. In all 80 boxers from all over the world will take part in the event. Pakistan team will comprises five boxers and two officials boxers: Squad: Mohib Ullah (49kg), Muhammad Waseem (52kg), Tariq Zia (60kg), Amir Khan (64kg) and Nisar Khan (75kg), Cuban Francisco Hernandez Roldan will be coach along with Iqbal Hussain who was appointed as manager Pakistani team will leave for China on August 26 from Karachi.
