OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE An application has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan for early hearing of the constitutional petition earlier filed to restrain allotment of as many as 3.5 lakh acres of Pakistani land to the multinational companies on the pretext of farming. The application has been filed by Barrister Zafarullah Khan praying to the court to put to hearing, may be on August 31 next, his petition pending over the last two years. The applicant says the country is facing worst economic crisis and in this situation multinational companies are making inroad to take away what suits their long term planning and the acquirement of land is one of that of interests.
