OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Hundreds of students appeared in the entrance test held for admissions in the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) while the Pak Army personnel remained on high alert to ensure foolproof security around the examination center here at Lawrence Road on Saturday. Earlier, the general public and commuters speculated the army was conducting operation against some high profile targets but when soldiers started clearing roads for the motorists they realised the arrangements were made for security reasons. Talking to this scribe, Civil Lines Police Division SPs Operations and Investigation told that whenever the GAT or NTS tests were conducted for the admissions in the NUST then each time the security arrangements were made by the Pak Army. They said such tests were conducted twice in a year.
