Spears grooves her way to top

OOPS, she did it again Britney Spears leads Billboards Dance/Club Play Songs chart and this weeks 411 Playlist. The pop divas hit I Wanna Go off her Femme Fatale album takes her straight to the top. Spears will be honoured at an award show that she is no stranger to, the MTV Video Music Awards. She has turned heads with her performances at the show and executive producer Amy Doyle says Britney will be at the show and well be paying tribute to her. Fellow pop princess Katy Perry makes history again this week as well. The songstresss hit Last Friday Night finally reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, which makes her the first female to have five singles off of an album reach that pinnacle. Billboard.com also reports that the only other artist to do so is the King of Pop himself, the late Michael Jackson. And speaking of legends, this was a big week for music as it honoured Elvis Presley. Elvis Week is the place to be for music fans as thousands descend upon Graceland to mark the 34th anniversary of the death of the King. Vigils were held to commemorate the man who many claim is the father of rock and roll. Releasing new material this week, Blue Octobers very heartfelt album Any Man in America hits stores. The album is a very personal one for lead singer Justin Furstenfeld who explains to FoxNews.com Live that the album is an audio journal of his continuing battle with the mother of his daughter. And in television news, Jennifer Lopez signed on to the 11th season of American Idol. The Latin superstar returns as judge alongside Aerosmiths front man Steven Tyler and American Idol veteran Randy Jackson. The hit show returns on January 22nd. FN
