LAHORE - Former Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) president Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed said he had good relations with former Pakistan cricket captains, Test stars and with the cooperation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Cricket Baord (PCB), he could revive international cricket in the country. “I have close interaction with former Pakistan cricket captains and a number of former Test stars and with their cooperation, I can ensure the visit of a World XI comprising former and current Test players if the prime minister and the cricket board assured me their full support,” Kh Nadeem said here on Tuesday. He said the prime minister’s concerns were valid about foreign teams not visiting Pakistan owing to security threats and there was a dire need to restore international sports activities in the country to enhance its image. –APP
