A mark of solidarity

Indian media has been coming up with all sorts of allegations against Pakistan. A well-planned diplomatic offence has been launched to isolate Pakistan, to attribute the homegrown terrorism to our mischief. But the present Indian tirade is nothing new. India has always made Pakistan a scapegoat for her own failings and always misguided the world community calling us the 'rogue' state. On the day to mark the debacle at Dacca, we Pakistanis are duty bound to show the world that we are undeterred by Indian jingoism and war mongering. As patriotic citizens of this beloved motherland, we must show unity against Indian designs by asking our cable operators not to show any Indian movie, indeed no Indian channel, as a mark of solidarity against Indian ambitions against Pakistan. By the way, why can't we simply do away with the Indian channels and movies for good? -KHUBAIB USMANI, Islamabad, via e-mail, December 15.
