Navy play draw against PIA in Premier League

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Navy and Pakistan International Airlines played out a goalless draw in 8th Pakistan Premier Football League 2011 match played here at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday.
Despite having the services of key players such as Nomi Martin and other national level stars, Navy were looking off color through out the match, they played out entire match without even posing a single major threat to opponents goal.
Navy boys started the match in whirlwind fashion and were looking dangerous in the early part of the first half; had their forwards not missed at least three chances when they were only left to beat the goalkeeper, they could have easily leading the match.
After surviving the early onslaught PIA players started to settle down and played with much confidence and authority, and even threatened Navy defense with some fine moves, Nomi Martin the ace striker of Navy for the second game in running was completely out of touch, he was no where near to his form which played a significant role in his teams previous victories.
The entire Navy team rely heavily on Nomi to provide them with goals, and when ever Nomi fail to perform, Navy either lost that match or they have to settle for a draw, the same story was repeated in he PIA match too as Nomi and other Navy forwards fail to live up to their reputation and Navy were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Navy must have to improve their standard of game and they must stop depending heavily on Nomi in future if they stand any chance of progress in the league, otherwise they will not be able to pose any serious threat for the title push and will be out from the top honors contention.
