New York - Nicki Minaj has been signed up as the face of Roberto Cavalli’s spring/summer 2015 campaign. The Bang Bang rapper can be seen in a series of stylish shots from the campaign in some of the luxurious Roberto Cavalli dresses, sporting a chic and simple shiny bob haircut in contrast to her usual multi-coloured dos. According to Mail Online the photographs, taken by Francesco Carrozzini, show Nicki wearing a sheer mesh full-length black dress, a floaty, low-cut zebra print number and a white, lace detail gown that looks like it could be a wedding dress.
Designer Roberto said of choosing Nicki: “I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman.
“In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes.
“With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong counter-trend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves, rather she make them as a strength.”
